Postdoc

At the Endocrine Regulatory Genomics Laboratory we are looking for a highly motivated researcher as new member of our group.

The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and collaborative team in an excellent multidisciplinary scientific environment. He/She will lead a project centered on genome regulation with the aim of understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying Type 1 diabetes as a follow up of recent studies from the group: Ramos-Rodríguez et al. Nature Genetics 2019 doi:10.1038/s41588-019-0524-6.

The project will involve the application of cutting edge molecular biology techniques. Candidates with both biological and/or medical background are welcome. An experience in molecular biology techniques and cell culture is expected. The project will mainly involve wet lab experiments and will require a close interaction with bioinformatic data scientists to interpret the outcome of the genomic experiments. Computational knowledge will be evaluated positively.

The position is open for candidates holding a PhD. Candidates need to prove a strong commitment to achieving research excellence and interest to conduct independent research. Candidates have to be fluent in both written and spoken English.
